My sister and I booked this cruise as we were keen to visit St Petersburg and this seemed to be the ideal way to do it. Also, we had the opportunity to see several other countries too. Unfortunately the first excursion to Berlin was cancelled after there was a problem getting into the Kiel Canal which resulted in us arriving late in Warnemunde. However, we made the best of this and had a great time in this German seaside town. We also jumped on a train and took a 20 minute ride to Rostock -lovely place but closed on Sundays.
Helsinki, Tallin and Copenhagen were wonderful and St Petersburg certainly lived up to it's reputation. This was was the only place we needed to take the ship's own excursion due to visa restrictions. Stockholm was a revelation, simply beautiful.
It was possible to walk into the city from Helsinki, Warnemunde, Copenhagen and Stockholm and the ship provided transport to enable us to get into Tallin.
