Did 7 night cruise round the Canaries and Madeira, Looked forward to being served nice food and good service. First evening meal was in cold restaurant and when food arrived it also was almost cold and the standard of service and quality of food were very poor. Tried the restaurant again following morning for breakfast and it was still poor standard. Ended up using the self serve buffet which I was hoping to avoid. Food there was a little better but bit like school dinner standard. Had barbeque food on deck another day and jacket potato was still hard, barbeque meat was cold unless you were lucky enough to get it just as newly cooked. Food for Christmas Gala night meal was bit better standard but my main course consisted of 2 slices of beef, half grilled tomato, 1 potato wedge.

Ship was very noisy in spite of fact we were told had been in for engine refit. On some seats in theatre could feel vibration very badly and there was constant engine noise in cabin as well as elsewhere, (Saved paying for a massage!!) in spite of paying extra for particular cabin on advice of Thomson travel agency.

Seating in main theatre was ridiculous, bench seating had chairs in front of them so most were unusable. On sea day it was very cramped around the ridiculously small pool where daytime entertainment was also taking place. Requests to Reception were rarely carried out e.g.asked for milk for tea in cabin a few times but only cream pots kept coming. Took milk in pots then from buffet area. On the plus side the entertainment team were very good even though some shows bit repetitive. The group called 'Top Man' were excellent. Nice coffee lounge but of course that was a money spinner for Thomson. Would never do a Thomson cruise again.
