The cruise was not what we hoped for. We were on the Eclipse in 2012, and noticed a definite change in the quality of food since then. We cruise because we want to see specific locations and also eat well. If you like thin steaks that sometimes have taste, you’ll probably enjoy the food. The seafood was similarly devoid of taste most of the time; there were exceptions though, the tilapia and cod were cooked and seasoned properly. The ‘lobster’ at the last formal was a joke. It was half of a rock lobster tail (probably not more than 2 ounces with the shell), and it was so overcooked that you could not get the meat out of the shell. Since we had waited for the main course for more than half an hour after the salads, we did not ask for another entrée, as we would not be able to get out of the dining room in time for the 8:30 pm seating. We thought that the osso bucco and lamb shanks tasted the same, actually no taste at all, like they had been steamed and then a little flavoring added at the end – totally different from the description.

Also disappointing was the Aqua Class Café. We had been on several Celebrity cruises last year that offered light, healthy and tasty lunch options with much protein. Now it is a salad buffet, with a tuna or chicken salad, and some ham. The items that look good you have to pay for – at premium prices, like a bowl of yogurt with fruit topping for $5.00.

The staff was friendly mostly. The storage in the cabins was not adequate for a 14-night cruise, and the lighting is not good, especially in the bathroom.
