Sail Date: Dec 2013

This was our first time cruising with Royal Caribbean after previous cruises with Carnival. We boarded the Brilliance in Tampa and found the boarding process to be quick and efficient. The Brilliance was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was excellent (especially the waiters and the room steward). There was always something to do on-board, and the production shows were of outstanding quality. The cruise director (Clo) was engaged with the passengers throughout the trip and really seemed to enjoy her job.

The process of leaving and re-boarding the ship at the ports of call (Cayman Islands and Cozumel) was the best we've ever experienced.

The overall food quality was noticeably better than what we have experienced on Carnival ships. One recommendation to anyone selecting My Time Dining - make sure that you make reservations for each night. Our travel agent said that reservations were not necessary, but we saw many passengers arriving at the dining room without reservations only to have lengthy waits.

Cabin Review

Room 3074 was laid out as well as possible. Although a bit crowded for four adults, it seemed larger than comparable cabins on Carnival. The shower was small - don't drop the soap.
