Prior to taking this trip I had read some reviews that had me concerned. Meals not so good, the crews not helpful or friendly. This was not the case at all. The crew was great, the meals were excellent. In fact our cabin steward was so good I wanted to take him home with us. He really added to our enjoyment on this cruise.

However their were some problems. It seemed that princess had never made this trip before. But they have. This was a re positioning cruise. the itinerary which was listed on our contract as well as on line indicated that we would be docking at the port of Puntarenas Costa Rica at 7.00 AM. We had made arrangement with 8 other cruisers to go on a private tour to the Monteverde Cloud forest. It is two & half hour ride requiring leaving as soon as we dock. After boarding the ship they change the time of arrival to 9:30. Our private tour company did not feel that it would give us enough time to make the trip and comfortably get back to the ship in time. We had to change the excursion we were going on.

In both Cabo San Lucas and Nicaragua which are we have to tender we had to wait way beyond our scheduled leaving the ship to meet our excursions. In fact in Cabo San lucas we waited two hours in the princess theater before leaving the ship and we were only in port for a half day. It messed up the time for our excursion. Read more
