Sail Date: Dec 2013

I just disembarked from the sunshine on the 21st of December. My family booked our cruise shortly after taking our first Carnival Cruise in 2012 and being impressed by the cruise line. Over the course of the year I dismissed the negative media attention Carnival was receiving, all major companies are bound to get in trouble once in a while right? As our cruise date approached I began to find see mixed reviews of the ship. Still, I dismissed the negative comments as coming from people with impossibly high standards of excellence, or as things that would be fixed by my sail date…. Below is a comprehensive review of my experience aboard the ship.

The Ship:

The first thing you notice about the Sunshine is that it is not the easiest ship to learn the layout of. After seven days aboard I still cant honestly say I knew where everything was. This fact is not helped by elevators, of which there are 10, which seem to stop at every deck every time. It also does not help that the two elevators that go all the way to the top deck of the ship are often out of service.
