Voyager of the Seas 01/06/07-01/13/07 Miami, Bahamas, St. Thomas, San Juan, Labadee

Background: Our travel group consisted of two mid 30's married couples from outside Chicago. This was our third cruise and our friends first. We had a great time and there were many many positives that I will outline below. There were some negatives and I will also touch on those.

Arrival: We arrived via American Airlines at approximately 3pm and headed right to the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. That is where the many are you kidding me? moments of our vacation started. We traveled with friends and our male friends work had booked us the hotel at no charge through their points. We had the confirmation letter. They would not let us check in because the room was under the companies name and did not specifically state our friends name. When we called the company, the boss was on a hunting trip and could not tell the hotel to let us in the room. Luckily this was Friday and there were people available to talk with, none though that the hotel would allow! Even the bosses wife was told no go. We waited and argued for over an hour. We even offered to just pay cash for the room to end the ordeal. We were told there were no more rooms and they could not give us this room as they were waiting for the rightful owner to show up!
