Heads up Caribbean Cruise carriers, there is a new Master of the Caribbean. We arrived at the terminal and boarded at approximately 1:00 pm and were eating lunch at 1:30 pm. FANTASTIC. Quickest embarkation of all cruises we have ever taken including several Carnival and a couple Royal Caribbean.

Our cabin 9081 was a balcony with steel lower portion under the rail. A little restrictive but still a balcony. Our cabin was well appointed, quite spacious with a safe, plenty of cupboard storage, and comfortable beds.

Our cabin steward, baGuss Prabawinata was exceptional. We asked for an extra large bath towel and a fourth was provided almost immediately without question. With the feature of using your ship pass card to power lighting when you are in the cabin, a red light above your cabin door was energised when you were in the cabin so your attendant knew when to make up your room, provide ice, make towel animals (which he did nightly) all done when you were off enjoying your trip.

Cabin Review

Our cabin is located at the forward portion of the ship, port side. It is the last cabin on Minerva deck where the structure of the ship extends out to the extreme width of the ship. The feature of using your ship card to activate the light/ power within the room is very smart and a convenient place to keep your card while in the room. Once removed, there is a light above the outside of the cabin door that goes out to indicate to your steward the room is empty. The air conditioner is located in the center of the room which gives a better distribution of air and does not blow cool air directly over the bed. The rooms TV has sufficient channels including movies for everyone unless you don't like a lot of Spanish. Our bed was pushed together giving a size slightly larger than queen. Clothing storage was compact but very adequate for an eleven day cruise. The uniquely designed shower doors allowed for additional bathroom space as the collapsed inward.
