Embarkation from New Orleans was great; friendly shore staff made it very pleasant. The ship has continuing problems with water dripping from the ceilings, especially on the lower decks. Buckets were set up in the hallway on deck 1 to catch this water. There is a constant sewage odor, presumably caused by the dripping water, up to deck 3. The ship's entertainment is poor, and the Liquid Lounge is small and crowded. The shows are only 30 minutes long, and you have to get there 30-40 minutes early to get a seat. On our cruise 3 of the stage shows were cancelled due to equipment problems and entertainer illnesses. The ship lacks much of the traditional live music, DJ's are used to fill the void, especially at poolside
The Lido restaurant buffet is poor, very little variety and the food is often cold. Serving stations are inexplicably closed at peak dining times, and seating is often at a premium. The morning scrambled eggs seem to be from a powdered mix. The floor, when wet, (as it often is) is as slippery as an ice rink. We saw a number of people slip and fall, when entering from the pool deck.
The main dining room is pleasant. The wait staff, for the most part, is adequate, but are not particularly friendly or attentive. I presume the pre-paid tipping program has helped diminish their enthusiasm, as their tips are now guaranteed. Here too variety is lacking, the same deserts appeared night after night on the menu.
