It has been a couple of weeks since returning from our wonderful time in Florida and the Eastern Caribbean cruise!

We originally booked a cruise on Fredom, only to cancel and rebook on the NCL Epic as they had a kids sail free promo. After finding out that the kids program did not have any nursery service, we cancelled that and ended up choosing the Oasis as we purchased our flights beforehand. Pricing on this room for the five is us was $5,300 (not including gratuities), which was actually more than the two bedroom Haven suite on the Epic! Airfare for the five of us from Newark came out to around $1,000 as we booked it six months before.

We departed from NJ and flew to FlL on Thanksgiving Day. We stayed two nights at the Sheraton Suites in Plantation. Nice, well maintained rooms. Only downside was no in-room safes. Enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel as well as a trip to Palacio de Los Jugos in Miami the following evening - great and inexpensive Cuban food!

Cabin Review

Our family, DW and kids 6, 4 and 2 stayed in room 11172, which was a Family stateroom with balcony. It was very spacious, with a king/queen bed, a sofa that converts to a bed and bunk beds by the entrance. Bathroom was standard, with a regular shower - we are very fortunate that we got our kids to stop taking baths and doing showers months prior to this cruise! We were concerned about out two year old and the balcony, so we kept the chairs and table closer to the door. He only came out to the balcony when either my wife or I was out there.Maria was an awesome stateroom attendant. She kept our room in pristine condition and took care of our requests. I hope that she takes care of us again when we come back a year from now!Overall, we liked the room as it was spacious, but would probably opt for two connecting cabins for the extra bathroom. Can't wait to go cruising again!!!
