I booked a surprise cruise trip for my husband's birthday with Norwegian Cruises. Before we left, he made the mistake of reading the negative reviews and was very alarmed. He kept on nagging me all the way. Yes, the embarkation took long but later we learned that it was the problem was due to the Tampa Port Authority which caused the delay with disembarkation of the previous trip.

When we finally settled in our cabin, we were a little surprised to see how small it was. Although we knew that our room will have an obstructed ocean view, we did not know that a huge "Life Boat" will be standing in the front, but we decided that we won't let ourselves be upset with things that are not working, on the contrary appreciate what was working. That is the reason why I'm writing this review. After that, we noticed that the whole staff and the crew were really trying very hard to please the passengers. (It is not very easy to please 2000 people.) As might be expected, there were all kinds; people with special needs, disabled people, families with young children, people who seemed to devour mountains of food and still looking around with hungry eyes!!! Do you think they were all happy? I don't think so. If somebody comes to such a crowded place expecting 7 star hotel and paying so little, I am sure he will be disappointed.

We came with expecting a little getaway but were pleasantly surprised. The food was great. Entertainments were very professional. The crew was exceptional. Thanks to all of you and our disembarkation was very smooth and quick! Will we sail with you again? You bet, many more times - happily!!!
