This was our first cruise on Carnival and we had two seven day back to back cruises out of New Orleans..The Carnival Conquest is a bit tired but spotlessly clean and quite an attractive ship.Carnival funship policy is exactly what she is with deck games and disco music around the main pool for most of the day,but if like us who want to read in some peace and enjoy the views of the ocean then the pool and decks on the aft of Conquest provide the perfect retreat for some peace to relax with just a short walk to the madness of the main pool and all the games and music.

The food on Conquest is some of the best quality food we have enjoyed on any cruise line with the enormous portions that the americans are famous for.The buffet restaurants are equally as good but we prefer the waiter service in the main restaurants, the waiters giving great service and being very attentive.

The trip down the mississippi from New Orleans is a nine hour sail into the gulf of mexico and is very interesting compared to leaving many cruise ports with lots of shipping including paddle steamers with bayou to watch for wild life during. the passing miles.

Cabin Review

an inside cabin on the lowest deck was adequate for us as we spent very little time in the cabin due to the wonderful weather up on deck.
