Sail Date: Dec 2013

We were expecting great things from the Royal Princess with all the communications we had received from Princess during the construction of the ship. It was not that great! A beautiful ship with a magnificent Piazza for sure but many of our favorite features have been taken away. We did love all the dining choices such as Fondue night, the Crab Shack, Alfredo's. Those are all nice.

However, What happened to the Vista Lounge? The seating was horrible and the room claustrophobic. You have to be a monkey to get into some of the seats. Some of the passengers had to clean the tables for the servers because the servers could not get near the tables. Horrible!

We missed the warm and inviting feeling of the Explorer's Lounge which has been replaced by Princess Live. This room has the most uncomfortable chairs and is the most uninviting area I have ever seen on a cruise ship.

Cabin Review

The cabin was nice but very small. The balcony was barely able to accommodate the two chairs and a small table. The shower has been enlarged is very nice. The bed linens are nice but in Princess style they provide a duvet only and no top sheet. Would prefer a top sheet as well as the duvet. A minor issue.
