To start with this is a gorgeous ship. It is glitzy and active and attractive. But it was not designed with cruisers in mind. There are more guests and less help on this ship than on others. But Princess has not taken that into account.

So let's start with the cabins. I liked the new cabin set-up - instead of walking into a hallway past the bathroom and closets, you walk directly into the bedroom and it seems larger. I know people complained but we found it slightly more roomy (interior mid-ship). There is far more storage space here but it would have been nice to be able to open the bathroom door all the way instead of 3/4. Not a big issue. I liked the safety bars in the teeny shower stall. Made me feel safer. Some complained about the location of the toilet paper roll but it was no biggie. Our steward Romeo was terrific and deserved kudos for prompt and attentive and pleasant service. There were plenty of hangers in the two closets so you do not have to ask for more. Lots of shelves and drawers. Great set up.

There are not enough lifts for the extra people. Elevators are small and often were out of order. Some people got stuck in one! If you have a wheelchair, only two or 3 extra folks can get aboard. With no chairs, it takes ages to get to the buffet on 16 or the restaurant on 6 (again you have to go to 7 aft to get to 6 dining room & that is the pits). It helps to press both up and down and take whatever comes first just to get on. People got nasty at times because they waited and waited and lifts were full up. One woman on my lift said "Let's all move front and make it look full so we can breathe. Don't let anyone else on!" Not nice. Also no one remembers to hold the OPEN button so others can get on and off. People need to think. Lifts are too far and few between. And as I said, way too small. Many toilets were out of order too. And too few - two women's toilets (the third was out of order) for the Vista was not enough.
