"We sailed on the STAR Princess for the 3rd time as a last minute getaway. This was the California Coastal Cruise to San Francisco, Santa Barbara, San Diego and Ensenada round trip from Los Angeles.

With the exception of a few "short timer" staff with the wrong attitude we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. Our cabin steward left after 2 days upon our arrival and was replaced with an outstanding person, who made our trip very enjoyable. Several wait staff were also replaced and the atmosphere in the dining rooms became very good. The shows that we attended were good as well but the star was in the Piano Bar and that is where we chose to be every evening.

As we are initially from California the ports were not all that important to us as we truly went on this trip for the R&R and didn't plan to do much sightseeing. Read more
