This was our very first cruise ever. We didn't do a lot of research before other than word of mouth from friends and family. We had a terrible first impression as we got into port as The Disney Dream and Carnival Ecstasy were also there and in comparison the Sensation was the smallest and looked the oldest. Once we got on the ship we went to the Lido deck for lunch - it was buffet style chicken strips and hot dogs. The waiters came by each table 100 times each trying to get us to buy overpriced watered down drinks - it was almost harassing. We chose anytime dining which was great because we never had to wait, but the food was less than appealing. There really needed to be more dining options.

Also for us the Showtime at dinner each night was just annoying - it tied up the wait staff and delayed our dining. The first night was so rocky you couldn't stand up without falling sideways so we stayed in our room. Our room was E144. We learned the hard way this room was right under the kitchen as all we heard EVERY NIGHT ALL NIGHT was slamming and banging from above. We had a window but it was so dirty you could barely see. In Nassau we noticed the Norwegian Epic and Disney Dream were both being cleaned - including windows - this was not happening on the Sensation. Nassau was great except a lot of the citizens there were basically panhandlers and harassing. The best part of the island was Señor Frogs. It was a nice short getaway for our first cruise, but we will be cruising with Royal Caribbean and Norwegian from now on which was sentiment from a lot of people we talked to on our cruise that cruised all the time.

Cabin Review

The cabin was ok, not updates, window was dirty and our room was right under the kitchen so all we heard was banging from above.
