We took the Royal's maiden voyage to the Caribbean to Pricess Cays and Turks and Caicos. This was our 35th Caribbean Cruise, the 9th time on a Princess Ship, so we have seen and experienced quite a lot these past years!

Royal Princess is as beautiful as Princess advertises. A lot of nightly entertainmant in the piazza, which makes for a lively atmosphere. Our cabin was midship on Dophin Deck and we heard no noise from the piazza in our room. The extended Balcony room we booked was smaller than we expected, so next time we are booking a minisuite on Baja Deck in April on the Royal.

The entertainment was great, the food was outstanding, and our table for 4 in the main dining room was perfect. Very attentive waiter and staff. Spa personnel were great, and we experienced no crowds or confusion except on Lido deck Buffet area. It is so spread out, with different breakfast and lunch items in several different areas...not a plus, I must agree. But all other experiences made up for that. We could always find a spot at Crooners or Wheelhouse Bars or just sit in the piazza for cappuccinos.

Cabin Review

Smaller than we expected, very tiny shower. Room was tastefully furnished, bed very comfortable
