I want to start with the positive. This crew is great. They were always smiling and tried to make the cruise a great experience. The one exception was our room stewart who never even introduced himself. We had two problems while on board and both were dispatched quickly and courteously. The ship is old but it was kept immaculate. We came from America and got in quite early in the morning so NCL offered everyone a free tour of Barcelon instead of waiting at the dock. Quite nice and thoughtful.

Your've read on the reviews that the food is boring and bad. It is. Try the Blue Lagoon on deck 7 it serves fresh and hot hamburgers, soup, and fish and chips. If you are claustrophobic do not go on the ship, the rooms are really small. There was only one area for adults and that was the Maharini lounge and it was up front, inside and unappealing. Definitely the majority of guests were older so I was surprised they were not given more thought. Kids were allowed in every bar. At the white hot party at 10:45 at night there were kids all over the dance floor. Gio tried to get it under control but the parents ignored him. Why do you want your kids at a drinking party at 10:45 at night? I actually saw adults leave because of it. These are cool days at sea and the two complaints I heard the most was no quiet adult area with windows and not enough free activities. There was something every hour but it was Martini tasting, beer tasting, bingo etc. There was only a limited number of adult, free activites. Gio you need to fix this. The galaxy could easily be changed to adult only and the bingo and noisy events moved elsewhere.

Casablanca - The excursion to Marrakesh was worth every penny. The road was a four lane highway and took about 3 1/2 hours. The bathroom break was at 1/12 hours and was clean and had soap, toilet paper etc. I don't know what "primitive facilities" other trips had but NCL's was fabulous.
