Having cruised mostly on Carnival Spirit class ships; we were a little apprehensive about the Breeze having not been impressed by the Dream in 2010. Although certainly different and lacking the old time European flare...wow is it FUN! One thing that really struck us was how comfortable and cozy we felt on the Lido deck for casual dining. Pub height tables, trees, and no more cafeteria feel. And the quick dining choices of Guy's (best burgers ever) and the Blue Iguana are great. We really liked the Red Frog Pub too.

The big difference of course, is the Caribbean themed décor which is so comfortable. Liking a more private and low keyed cruise, we really enjoyed that there are more smaller and more intimate places to sit or layout in the sun.

We did notice some of the little complaints mentioned elsewhere of the basketballs during lunch in the Italian place, the Serenity deck too close to the waterpark, and a ridiculous wait for Fat Jimmy's making it that we never did eat there. Also like the Steak House in the stack rather than just on deck 5; but the food and service was still fantastic.

Cabin Review

Cabin standard Carnival Ocean View with a couch but it had a second bathroom with a small tub and sink. This was handy and I liked the tub to shower in much better than the standard showers. However, there was too much noise; some from the halls and we had noise from the stabilizers; woke us up at night. It's also difficult to get an elevator from deck one...we often walked up the stairs.
