This was our first cruise on Princess but our 11th cruise overall. We were traveling with 100 of our neighbors from our retirement community. After a long journey from Orlando, the ship looked very good.

EMBARKATION: Was orderly letting small groups of passengers on by calling a number we were given. We were able to go to our room right away. Our cabin stewart greeted us and his service was very good. Our safe wouldn't work and he called the repairman right away. We were very tired from our travels and our two big bags did not get to our room until 10 PM.

SHIP & CABIN: In general, the Golden Princess overall appearance was clean and very well maintained. The cabin was comfortable and having the balcony on this cruise was really nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was standard fair with a shower curtain instead of Royal Caribbean's new shower doors. The door to the bathroom opened up to the clothes rack and the safe was at the end of the rack making it a little tight to maneuver when we getting ready. One thing I must say, our ride was the smoothest I have every had. The Aegean and Ionia and Mediterranean Seas were very calm and the sunsets and moonlight out of our cabin were spectacular.
