This is a review from the November 23, 2003 sailing of the Holland America Ryndam. Our group included myself and my husband, my brother and his wife and my mother. My mother participated in the HAL share program. This was my sixth cruise, although the first one on HAL. We've sailed previously on Carnival and Celebrity. Receiving our cruise documents in the nice leatherette case was an indication that this cruise line was different.

EMBARKATION

We arrived at the San Diego cruise terminal about 11:20 a.m. There was no traffic or lines to drop off our luggage. In fact, there wasn't any lines at all. We walked right up to the check-in counters and received embarkation number 3. We were on the ship at 11:45. Very easy!
