Figured I would write this while its still fresh in memory since these type of unbiased reviews are valuable to us when we are considering cruise lines and itineraries.

We have taken 5 cruises. 3 on Windstar as a couple and as twice as a family with our 2 boys, 9 and 11 yr olds, last year on RCCL Serenade of the Seas out of San Juan, and this past Thanksgiving 11/18-11/25 on the Pride of America.

We read the mixed reviews and had some reservations about NCL and Pride of America but decided that the allure of exploring the Hawaiian Islands was worth the risks. As most have said, Hawaii is a special place and the idea of cruising it is essentially the only way economically experience the variations and attractions unique to each individual island. It would be a mistake to travel this far and confine yourself to one or two islands. There is so much to see and do so it is correct to focus on Hawaii as the attraction instead of the ship or cruise line.
