We were on the 6 day cruise but got cancelled due to the gastero. virus and was reduced to 4 day with different ports of call. If it could go wrong, it did. If it could not go wrong, it still managed to find a way to go wrong. The staff was unpleasant, we rarely seen our cabin steward and the communication was very poor. We were put up in a hotel for the first 2 days, but the 50% savings on the cruise ticket was well spent in trying to get food out of the hotel for the 2 days. We actually spent more then we would have if we did not stay at the hotel. This was our first cruise we have ever taken and was the most unpleasant experience we have ever had! The 50% off future cruise given to us will do us no good. That is clearly a marketing scheme to get you on another cruise, nothing was put out on their behalf...not even the hotel they covered. That came out of our money for the 6 day cruise.

The food was not that great, the weather was cold and the deck was far from the "party experience". the pools and hot tub were cold and the music was far too loud to enjoy. The shows were good and activities were fair, but the frustration well overcame any fun we thought we would have. We were to have a double bed cabin and found one bed for my sister and I to share. Our keys kept not working and had to get that fixed. The room service's food was in poor quantities. Melon consisted of 2 pieces of fruit about 1" x 3"....boy was I stuffed (yeah right) ordered coffee and hot tea but received both pots with coffee instead of one for hot water (for the tea). This could go on forever, but to top it off, our airline flight home had my sister and I not sitting together. She was towards the front and I was towards the back. The majority of the fun we had was on the things we paid extra money for. this should not have happened. I think we both cried at some point on this ship. We do not feel Carnival was fair in how they handled this situation. Some people got everything we did plus cabin upgrades, or breakfast vouchers or even placed on another 6 day cruise which we were denied upon asking...just to name a few things.

My sister got sick with a bad cold on Thursday (her Birthday) and I was feverish Saturday morning before going home. Between the cold weather, many rude staff members...several were very kind though, and the total chaos from beginning to end, I would strongly have to think about considering another cruise-period. My sister will never take another cruise and this was so displeasing and disappointing we could not get home fast enough! If only we knew, we would have done the 100% full refund but time was taken from work and thought we would make the best of it.
