This was our first river cruise. Initially on arriving in Amsterdam, we stayed at the Radison Bleu. Terrific location. Take in the dinner cruise, worth the extra dollars but food is great and channel at night is beautiful. My only issue with Amsterdam were the bicyclists, they were the rudest people. They will knock you down without a second thought. Museums were great and you were able to get a really enjoyable lunch. Make reservations at momma kitchen, not spelt right but they will know what you mean.

Now for the Sun, great trip. The room was on top floor and it was very quiet, choose middle of ship. We'll worth the extra money because we had the sliding glass door the entire week, except when docked.

Food was great, for breakfast, I usually went with pancakes and sausages. Lunch we went to both buffets and sit down meals. It depended on what they were serving. Tried local cuisine, which was very good. Regardless of what reviewer stated, you could always ask to try more than one speciality or have extra try at the buffet if something was interesting. True, that the wine wasn't my favorite but I enjoyed the beer. There were days when that had special drinks. Dinner was also excellent, yes the portions are smaller than we are use to but I was never hungry after dinner. Ice cream was delicious, different flavor a every day.
