If I may start my review by imploring the state of Maryland, our governor, and Carnival Cruise lines to come to some agreement of keeping Carnival operating out of Baltimore it could only be of benefit to the state and the company. It is a great port to cruise from, easy access, and the Port of Baltimore has gotten embarkation and debarkation down to an effcient and speedy process.

The Pride is a beautiful ship. Decorated in Reniassance art motif, it is very pleasing to the eye. To those of you who are unfamiliar with this style of art, it does feature nudes. It is ART not pornography! If your sensibilities are too delicate simply don't look at the works of the great masters. The ship is very easy to get around and the traffic patterns flow easily from one area to another.

Service aboard the Pride is excellent. Our room steward was Erda. He was extremely helpful from the moment we arrived to the cabin. Others have said if you slip your room steward a tip upon meeting him from the first time your wish will be his/her command is exactly on the button. I slipped him a twenty and from then on anytime, and I do mean anytime, he saw me he asked if I needed anything or how else could he serve me.

Cabin Review

The cabin was kept neat and clean with no signs of wear. The bed, while not the most comfortable I have had while cruising, it was more than average. The cabin has plenty of room for two people and the balcony was nice to sit and relax. Cabin 5277 is toward the aft and on the starboard side of the ship.
