This was our third cruise, but this was our first cruise with MSC, we had read numerous mixed reviews on several review sites and all I can say is that the people must have been on a different cruise. The ship is very Italian themed, but all crew have a very good understanding of English and it was quite easy to communicate once I started speaking slower.

The cabin that we had was a balcony cabin and was very comfortable, fantastic pressure in the shower and a very effecient air conditioning system, the balcony was very roomy and afforded amazing views of our cruise. The food that was on offer was excellent, varied and very tasty, buffet was a bit of a scrum and some of our european cousins should really learn manners, but apart from that the food on offer from the buffet was delicious and ample. The main dining restaurant was divided into 2 sittings, 1st at 18:00hrs and then the other later sitting at 20:30hrs, we had the earlier slot and that was the only gripe, was a bit early, but maitre de could sort that easily. Food was delicious and of the standard that you would expect in a high end eaterie. There are numerous bars on board and all are well stocked and the crew can make the most amazing cocktails!!!!. Stage shows are excellent, but become a bit repetitive if you went every night. The SPA was heaven and that's all I am saying about this. Drinks package Allegresso was well worth it 250 euros each and is a bargain. The shops are amazing and just remember that you can barter for discount and it's worth it.

Only gripe we did have was return flight times and we actually switched whilst on holiday and paid BA to return us 7 hours earlier. I would highly recommend MSC to anyone and we are definitelty using them in the future.
