We have just returned from an 8 night cruise to France and Spain onboard The Adventure of the Seas and can honestly say that is one of the worst experiences we have ever had. The Ship is very impressive to look at but that is where it begins and ends.
The Food was of a very poor standard compared to other cruises we have been on the meat was tough, and was either undercooked or cremated no happy medium at all barely edible the choice was limited and the only thing i can liken it to was a very average all inclusive ie Butlins.
The daytime entertainment was very repetative and of a holiday camp standard and as for all the supposed ammenities such as ice skaTing rock climbing inline skating these were also limited to a couple of hours a day weather permitting and no other alternatives apart from the very cheesy kids clubs were on offer for older kids my 12 year old son was bored to death.
The only thing to look forward to was the evening shows which were at inconveniant times and in order to see them we had to eat in the self service cafe nearly every night because the main resturants took upto 45 mins to bring each course. the ship was understaffed and we sometimes waited up to 30 min to be served with a drink in the bars. All Royal Caribbean seemed interested in was making money out of passengers by trying to sell them sub standard goods at inflated prices. ie cheap watches and immitation pandora braclets. WOULD NEVER BOOK WITH THEM AGAIN
CABIN WAS SMALL NO LITTLE EXTRAS LIKE SHAMPOO CHOCS ETC OUT CABIN STEWARD HOWEVER WAS VERY PLEASANT
