My husband and I decided to try a Disney cruise for two reasons, we love Disney and they do everything well. We arrived in Orlando the night before the cruise and stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter. We found the hotel there to be very dated and in desperate need of a renovation. We have stayed at 4 other Disney resorts and this one is our least favorite. But - this review is about the cruise!!

We loaded the Disney Cruise Line Bus at 11:30 a.m. and had a pleasant ride to Port Canaveral - it took a little over an hour to get there. When we arrived, we entered the screening area and checked into the ship. It was all very easy and there were no problems at all. From our first step on the ship, we were amazed. This ship is TRUE to Disney standard. When we arrived at our stateroom on the 7th deck, we were greeted by our Stateroom Attendant, Jocey. He could not have been more attentive. It seemed like every time we opened our stateroom door, he was there with a smile greeting us and asking if we needed anything. He was terrific!!

The stateroom was spacious (so much nicer than the hotel) and clean. The veranda was nice and just large enough, I loved that there were two seperate bathroom areas - one with the shower/tub (which was a good size) and one with the toilet. It seems like a small point, but it came in handy when we were both trying to get ready at the same time. Every evening we were (or course) greeted by another towel character on our bed, along with the next days activity schedule and chocolates.

Cabin Review

We were on the 7th deck mid-ship. It was a little close to the staiway which could be a little noisy but was a great location. The stateroom was large with a queen size bed and pull out sofa. There was plenty of storage in the stateroom with double closets and a desk area. The double bathroom set up is perfect. The veranda was nice and the view was not obstructed. The room was clean and spacious and the layour was perfect!
