Sail Date: Sep 2013

My husband and I sailed on Carnival Triumph on Sept. 28, 2013. We desperately needed some rest and relaxation from our full-time jobs and our part-time job in the travel industry. We usually travel with a group to islands in the Caribbean but decided this time it just needed to be us! We booked an interior cabin--1048, and I have to say it was THE best decision ever. The location was perfect and convenient to everything. Our room attendant, Henrry was awesome. Every time we left our room, we returned to a tidy, well-kept stateroom. We did room-service for breakfast several mornings, we actually slept late (which we never do) due to the fact that an interior room is completely dark.....loved it, loved it, loved it! We completely lost track of time most days.

We spent a lot of time on deck 3 (under the lifeboats) relaxing, reading, eating and mostly just staring mindlessly at the water. It was wonderful not to have an agenda, as we do most times due to working while we are traveling. We did participate in some activities on board, we would eat lunch and then head back to our dark room for a nap. We sometimes wouldn't wake up until 7 or 8 in the evening and then would head to the dining room to be served by the best head waiter ever-- Feland from the Phillipines. I love the Anytime Dining just for the reasons mentioned above--no timelines to meet! We loved going to the disco to watch those who can and those who CAN'T dance---comical! And once again would head back to our wonderful room and would order dessert and coffee and sit in bed watching the onboard activities we missed on TV.

We visited Mr. Sancho's Beach in Cozumel and must say that it was even better than the first time. The massages there are unbelievable! They offer a romantic VIP day for an all-inclusive price that includes a cabana (swing bed), unlimited food and drink (includes alcohol), 2-30 minute massages and a private server that waits on you hand and foot! Well worth the price not to mention the beach there is beautiful. It's family friendly with plenty of activities for children. While Triumph still needs some attention, She has been redeemed and certainly provided what we were looking for in a getaway! Would def sail Triumph again! We are booked on Carnival Magic for March of 2014 and are super excited!
