This is our second time of Royal Caribben and it was nice. The rooms were very clean and our cabin was quiet even through we were in the rear of the ship. It was a very pleasant experience overall but there were items I want to complain about based on this trip verses our first which was to Alaska. The food the first night we all thought was very good but then it all started tasting alike no matter what you ordered.. We had a hard time getting a reservation in MY TIME DINING which continued the whole trip. and in the end we no longer tried to get into the dining room but ate meals in the Windjammer which is the serve yourself location on the upper deck. Our main meals were eaten off the ship because we all wanted seafood (especially lobster) and it was only offered one night for an additional $14.00 on board ship. The ship also has several other specialty restaurants which we did not try but I understand from others it was almost impossible to get a reservation in them at a decent time.

The entertainment was also a disappointment from our previous cruise. The comedian the first night was very good and not one swear or off color word to get a laugh. The juggler was alright but I did not care for any other entertainment. In the center of the ship they have an area called the Centrum which you can see from looking over a balcony from most floors and they feature a lot of entertainers here but very few people get to see anything. Poor planning and someday there will be someone who falls if they haven't already trying to get a better view. Beverages were also out of line in price. I did not take a cruise to drink but paying $9.00 for a glass of regular wine was too much.

In fact everything on Royal Caribbean was double the price and I would recommend if you want to take a shore excursion you book your own after getting off the ship or on line ahead of time. We tried both and ones we booked were better. We highly recommend Jonathan Duru - Your Cab Bus & Van Tours (1-866-831-2277) for reservations or cell 902-209-3355 for your visit in Halifax He was very knowledgeable and accommodating to anything we wanted . He planned the tour around us and we had the best lobster right out of the ocean. Everyone always has complaints but learn from mine and you should have a great cruise.

Cabin Review

Our room was well maintained - small but adequate.
