This cruise was delightful but hotel accommodations prior to the cruise were terrible. We arrived in Amsterdam the day before departure only to find out that the Movenpeck did not have a room for us. We had confirmation in late November that our room would be available upon our arrival. They made some story that they were full and put us in another hotel which did not live up to our standards. Once we returned home, our travel agent got in touch with them and after many conversations, I believe they made up a story about maintenance problems at the hotel. Anyone thinking of staying there for their destination should call the day before to make sure it is available.

I had originally been on the Eurodam in 2008 and it was wonderful to be on it again. We were in a large Ocean View Cabin #1124 which was fantastic, except when we went to bed. Apparently this cabin was below the main dining room so getting to sleep early was out of the question. We had initially been told by Holland America that they did not know of any problems with noise in this cabin.

The food, room attendants, dining room servers, front desk employees and anyone else we had conversations with were marvelous and provided for all our needs. The entertainment was only so-so this time, however the special parties on the ship were great.
