The start was rough because the ship delayed boarding due to fog. This was cool. It was safe but what got me was by 10:00 pm when the shops closed and the restroom in the embarkation port was unavailable to me....it was ROUGH! After holding in over an hour...I had to pee under some stairs and learned hitting concrete just propels back upward! All over me and my jeans :/ They need backup porta potties.
I found this ship to be beautiful in comparison to the others so far. The decorations for Christmas was really nice but I always found the food to be substandard until I discovered the Golden Fleece Steakhouse! It was only about $30 but more like an $80 meal! Carnival did upgrade us to an oversized balcony which has us soooo spoiled....we can never go back to anything under this so the next 2 upcoming cruises I booked us in the Premium Vista Balcony Suites! Thank You Carnival for this...lol...somewhat I think :l
To REALLY view Belize...the excursions weren't really anything spectacular. I have visited Belize before and to do this country right...a day CAN NOT do it if they tried (like Coxcomb, Caracol, or visiting the red footed boobies on half moon caye etc.) so we rented a flight with Tropic Air and flew over the Cayes! What a BLAST and better than helicopter tours! We had PLENTY of time to do other things like eat and shop too. Well worth the money.
