Americas Cup and Wine Cruise

Sail Date: September 2013
Destination: USA
Embarkation: Seattle
We flew to Seattle the morning of departure. I prearranged for a town car to meet us at baggage claim. Within an hour and a half we were on board the ship. No wait to check in. With champagne in hand went to the restaurant to check on our assigned table. We had requested a large table and were assigned a table for two. Changed to a large table very quickly and started exploring the ship.

After wandering around for awhile we headed to the Ocean Cafe for some lunch. The food stations had a good flow and good selections.

After lunch we headed to the cabin and our luggage was waiting for us. We unpacked and found we had ample room for the two of us.

Having been to most of the port cities before this trip we did not find it necessary to book cruise excursion.

Overall the cruise was a wonderful experience.

The service and food and cleanliness were what we have come to expect from Celebrity, very attentive.

We are elite members and More because there were so many they did not have a designated cocktail location before dinner. Instead they gave out drink coupons to be used in most lounges from 5:00 until 7:00.

We preferred this over the normal set lounge.

We don't go to the big shows, but enjoy the lounge entertainment. The performers for the most part were enjoyable, some better than others.

We had a great cruise until we boarded the bus in Ensenada. Our bus had to wait for over an hour for one couple. We boarded the bus at 6:30 and arrived at the San Diego airport 6 hours later. The bus was dirty and the toilet was worse than any porta potty I have used. Then sat at the border for 90 minutes. Not a good end to a wonderful cruise. I will never depart from Ensenada again. I will make sure there is a major airport in the ending port. Less

Cabin review:

Great cabin on the hump. Oversized deck.
