Parking was easy at Southampton, well signed and plenty of help to get you to the terminal.
then we waited an hour to use the ONE XRay machine BEFORE we got to the Reception Desk.
Passengers were struggling to stand that long and chairs hastily brought.
Reception was quick and cases came immediatley.
Muster Drill was different. immediate, but stopped half way thru. Not like other ships.
The decor was the best we have ever seen, no worn areas.
Breakfast in the main dining room weird. My boiled eggs and toast arrived befor fruit juice and cereals every day. The Buffet was excellent and extensive choice.
Dinner at night was hot once in 10 nights. One night the whole process took two and a half hours. The other tables had the Tirasumu dance and we were still on our main course which got left. Food was a bit bland and never warm. More
The pizza at El Patio is to die for and hot.
There is a shortage of medicated hand wash. You cant hold drinks and wash hands at the same time. No tables or spare hands.
The gangway to quayside most days is too steep. I had to keep telling staff to help passengers with the sheer climb. i had to pull myself up and struggled at times.
We thought the Cruise Director Allesandro and his Asst command of languages was brilliant.Catering for so many languages and tastes. If you like Opera you will love the main theatre, bit too intense at times for us. Games s and fun in the bar after 11pm was brilliant.
Day time activity a bit lax and Club 18 to 30 at times.
There are lovely little areas to sit too.
We booked independent excursions here and previously with Cruising Excursions.
Three couples booked and paid for a trip around Lisbon, only we turned up. perfect for us, private trip and Victor sat at each location as good as gold and we loved him !
brilliant ship, what we expcted, made great friends with passengers and staff again !! Less
