The Norwegian Epic is huge! Our only other cruise we ever took was on the Pearl, to Alaska. We love Norwegian because of the freestyle concept. I am more of a jeans and t shirt kind of guy than a suit and tie guy. The sheer size of the Epic was daunting at first, but it became quite easy to get around fairly quickly.

There were many good things about the Epic and the excursions that we took. We ate at Cagneys, Moderno Churrascero (sp?), La Bistro, and Teppanyaki. None of the specialty restaurants disappointed. We appreciated the Moderno enough to rebook later in the cruise. The shows were great! The Beatles, the Legends of Rock, and the Blue Man Group were all a great and wonderful experience. The crew that we met were all very personable and the Ice Bar was a lot of fun.

The excursions that we took were amazing, especially the "Flavors of Sorrento and Pompeii with our guide Elisa, and Pisa and Florence on your own with our outstanding guide Luca Misuri. Those two were our favorites, but Rome and the Vatican, and Palma was also a great excursion.
