Good experience

Sail Date: September 2013
Destination: South Pacific
Embarkation: Sydney (Australia)

Very quick, we arrived due to a flight delay, still it didnt present any problems, less than 15mins and we were eating a late lunch.

Empire dining room

First class dining, we opted for early fixed time dinning to avoid any crowds.

The food was plenty varied and great, never had a bad meal

La playa grill

Very busy buffet, to avoid crowds you will need to have breakfast done by 7:30, after that its crazy with kids, food quality was no problem and staff running everywhere cleaning all the time, no problems with getting a seat, just busy, for quieter eating we went to the empire for nearly every meal, most young families tend to go to the buffet

Worth the cover charge, you'll only describe it a dinning experience with incredible food, the cheap even came over and talked to us about the food.

Can't do enough, alway happy, only struck one unhappy dinning room staff member, on More 1 breakfast not bad we had about 15 meals in the dinning room

Wow they go out of there way to provide the best shows, the big band show really put it on

With singing and dancing, the magic show was great

Does a great job, keeping 2600 people happy and entertained, some will alway wine, all I say you try and do better.

We played lots of trivia games, and won the ship on the stick!

This was a rip off at $30 a card and over in 20 mins, good if you win, would be better to more lower value prises and involve more people

Green thunder

I'm 50 plus and its blast, it a must do for all

Shore tours

We did the wetlands tour which was a fun few hours and included a city highlights as well

We did the vanilla plantation, by booking thru the boat we were first off and had a good tour

On the way back we were dropped off at the old yellow church, here we paid a old guy $10 and went drown into a rainforest and met another old guy who pointed us on to a cave, we went swimming , that was great one of the best thing we did on the whole cruise

Mystery island

Due to rough seas we couldn't go ashore, carnival takes safety very serious

Isle of pines

We booked natural aquarium thru the boat, agin by doing this we are first off on the tenders and beat the crowds, it really is worth it, serious like swimming in a fish bowl!

I know this comes up all the time with carnival reviews, and I fully understand this is a family ship, however some parents, just switch off and allow there little angles. To jump stairs, run into people, push in on food lines, we are only talking about a handful, we stopped eating in the La Playa grill as we considered hot food and drink vs running kids wasn't going to end happy.

Soft drinks $2.25

Beer. $8.00 up

Wine. $8.00 a glass, best way buy a bottle $30 the waiters will bring it back for you or you can take it with you

Cocktails $10

Some or the artwork really isn't suitable for young eyes!!!!

Apart from that we loved the decor it puts you into a holiday mood, and that's what it's all about

Enjoy your cruise, Less
