This was my 48th cruise experience, and it did not disappoint. Golden Princess is in excellent condition considering it is now 12 years old. Well maintained and clean. Staff very friendly. We had an outstanding cabin steward. Cabin was outside obstructed view on deck 8, cat.OW located between two lifeboats which provided a full view. September is late season but weather was good except for a rainy windy day in Juneau.

Skywalkers lounge is always open and is a great place to view scenery during the day. However, daytime temps were set too cold. Public restrooms are well-hidden on most public areas, and not always very clean. My wife complained that ladies restrooms are very small and ladies frequently had to stand in line.

Main theater shows were ok, and Sarge, the comedian is very funny. Music in the lounges was always way too loud. Kathy Slamp, the naturalist was great, but she was not allowed to broadcast narrations throughout the ship during scenic days for "security reasons" from the bridge, so we missed hearing lots of her knowledge.

Cabin Review

Cabin GG

Great closet and storage space. Thin mattress, ask for a mattress topper.
