This was our 5th cruise with Carnival and 2nd cruise on the Conquest... We sailed with her 10 years ago and had fond memories... This review is a quick review without using names and specific facilities.... Overall we liked the ship and the crew but found areas that will keep us from going on Carnival again.... The MDR food was not very good except on a couple of nights... Port nights the food was very plain and the buffet was as good a choice as the MDR... The dress code as advertised was not followed by a few in the MDR... I do not like to dress up for the MDR but about 10% of the diners dressed very improper... such as bathing suits with a cover us and flip flops at night in the MDR... yes... just a few but does it make sense to have a dress code and then allow anything?

The buffet area with all of the choices is one of the best I have seen in my 10 cruises... A very good experience and wide, wide choice of foods... Ice Cream at both pools and in the buffet area... Hamburgers were good but not great as advertised.... Saw people in just bathing suits in the buffet... this is against the rules of the ship but seems to be accepted behavior on Carnival.... As for the pools... A first for me... The pools become standing cocktail parties... as the day goes on... 20 people standing in the pool with a drink in their hands... no swimming when this happens... The large entertainment room at the end of the ship was a disappointment... only a couple of shows like use to be so common..

Our room was nice and clean and kept clean... we showed our appreciation for the person assigned to clean our room... Carnival has changed to a point where the loud drunk few with their lack of class has become to me a place that I do not need to use for my cruising anymore... The Conquest is a very good ship that needs to raise the quality of the MDR food and enforce the common sense rules.... and start taking care of the majority and not the few....
