Just got off the Jewel after a 7 day cruise starting Aug. 31st. San Juan was hot and sticky but interesting to see. I would not stay at the Best Western Condado Palms - very noisy!

Have to say this was one of the best cruises we have ever been on. We went from the hotel to eating on the ship in less than 30 minutes. We thought the food was terrific as were our waiters Angel and Jaime. Even if you didn't like the nightly specials the everyday selection was good. Best ribs on the last day of the cruise in the Windjammer.

Our room steward Eric was wonderful. Whatever was requested was done and quickly. Only complaint about the cabin is you can not open the balconies. Disappointing as we were traveling with 2 other couples and had looked forward to having drinks before dinner all together on the balcony. We had an issue with the people above us. I mentioned it to Eric and the next day the front desk was calling to rectify the problem. We were in 9228 and my only issue was we were right across from a crew access area. Very noisy as they were preparing carts and getting ready for the day.

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Superior balcony cabin 9228 right across from the crew access area. Very noisy as they were getting ready for their day. Lots of clanking of glasses, etc.
