We chose this cruise as we have enjoyed cruising with NCL in the past and wanted to do Alaska at this time of year. On a positive note the general staff was always friendly and the cruise director, Jaime was one of the best I have ever encounted on a cruise boat. The weather was perfect and the seas were unusually calm - even the staff and captain remarked several times on the seas and weather.

What we were disappointed with was the quality of the food on the boat. The dining room quality has gone down a great deal. The service in the main dining rooms was also not good. One waiter was as bad as the next. This is quite a change from prior cruises we have taken with NCL.

In addition, Le Bistro has also gone down in quality. We were disappointed that they have changed the menu and the chef needs to take some lessons in preparation. We did not go to the specialty restaurants as we had in the past - when the buffet is the best bet you have a problem with your kitchen!
