Genoa

Long wait for the Tender Boats which was blamed on the French Authorities. It took us an hour to get from the shore back onto the ship. Vilefranche itself is absolutely beautiful and well worth a walk around the bay. Beautiful location.

We walked around the city, nice to soak up the sights and culture.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We got off the ship and tried to find a reasonable tour to Pisa but were quoted approximately 500 euros for any type of trip whether it be a bus, taxi or coach. The train station was a good hours walk away from where the port buses dropped us off.

Florence (Livorno)

Walked around the city, was our least favourite destination of the cruise.

Lisbon

Not for passengers who are nervous of heights, monkeys or other peoples driving! It was an experience, but one I will not be repeating with small children.

We took an open top bus tour around the city from just outside the port. I was unhappy that we were told the buses ran every ten minutes when we paid but we had to wait half an hour, however the tour was very nice and covered a lot of the city which would be impossible to walk.

Swimming Pools - As with all hotels and cruise liners, there are not enough sunbeds for the passengers on board and staff did not enforce the half an hour sunbed rule which needs to be addressed.Food - Excellent choices in the Windjammer, beautiful food in the Main Dining Room and the service from the staff is second to none.
