This was our third cruise on our 3rd different line, so what I am writing is a reflection of those previous experiences as to how this cruise compared to them ( NCL,Princess). This was also the first "dive cruise"IE> Scuba Dive at every port >my wife has been on. This cruise was $691.45 for 2( yes that's both of us for $692) including taxes and port charges, some internet special!!!

We had to book a flight from FAR west Texas a day prior to the Sunday departure as the plane could not get to either Miami or FLL with enough time to insure us getting on the Boat in time. We flew into FLL airport and rented a car for the day ($34.85) and rented a room at Lauderdale on the sea at the Echo by the Sea motel ($45 CASH) and went exploring. The Port Everglades Port was only about 6 miles from the airport and 8 miles from LBS, so for future note, the RCCL is out of that Port, hmmmm. We dove Sunday Morning with American Dream dive out of Pier 66 in FLL, and then took the car back to the airport, snagged a shuttle ($36) thru the FLL shuttle to the Ship. EMBARkATION, was a breeze!! compared to NCL and Princess this took 20 minutes, and we were showering the salt water off in our cabin in about 30 minutes from the time the shuttle dropped us off!!!!

THE GYM/SPA is very nice: SAUNA, and good weight machines, with Dumbbells to 60lbs. Selling the TEETH whiteners is a big business on ships now... The ship is GAUDY, Rosie's ( Cafeteria) is a 40's diner theme with pale green colors and Stainless steel everywhere. The Washington and Lincoln Dining rooms are as gaudy but in Red/Gold Chandelier themes, All three restaurants are starting to show the wear of the times. This is a more formal cruise with 2 formal nights.
