This was our 6th cruise, but the first and last one on NCL. Service, food, and entertainment were lower than the lowest rating I was allowed to give. First off the room was smaller than my closet at home. I never met my room steward, everyone I ran into told me they weren't in charge of my room, and since it was our first NCL cruise we didn't know we had to turn a little dial to get service until the 2nd day. The dining room staff was almost nonexistent except in the Steak restaurant(service was great here). That's what happens when they automatically add the tipping to our bill and do not give you the option to tip for the service you received. The food was completely flavorless. This is the first cruise that I actually lost weight on because nothing had any flavor so I ate as little as possible and then we ate, when we could, on shore. The way they had the tendering set up was ridiculous. On the day we were at Newport, RI we reached Newport at 9am but we were not allowed on a tender until after 1pm. They made everyone take a number and then you had to wait until your number was called to go ashore. The last tender going back to the ship was at 4:30 so we had less than 3 hrs on shore. We decided to do the express checkout, which was a joke. We were told we should be ready to go ashore by 8am, but we ended up not getting called to go ashore until after 10:30am. The entertainment was the worst of any cruise we've been on. The worst part is the only reason I chose this cruise line is they were the only cruise line that stopped at Martha's vineyard, and because of the waves, we didn't even stop there and ended up having to spend an extra day at sea. They should of changed the order of the stops so we could of stopped on the way back but they didn't. This was the most expensive cruise we've taken and it was the worst by far. What ever happened to you get what you pay for?
