We have cruised with Carnival five times. However, we decided to splurge and cruise with Royal Caribbean in August 2013! We couldn't keep from comparing the 5 Carnival cruises we sailed to Royal Caribbean. I expected Royal Caribbean would blow Carnival "out of the water".

The ship (Enchantment of the Seas) appeared old when we boarded. We were pleased when we saw the interior of the ship though. The ship had been refurbished in 2005.

We had a large interior stateroom #8089. It was one of the last cabins available on an upper deck. The cabin seemed larger than Carnival cabins. Yay! Our cabin steward, Charlie was very nice. He seemed to work nonstop.
