We had taken SuperStar Libra cruise because our children wanted to, they had quite good experience of the previous cruises (this is our sixth cruise, but first time on SuperStar Libra). To us, however, it was a disappointing cruise,

we are left with the conclusion that the ship is basically a gambling ship, and the priority is to give passengers 'opportunity' to go to the casino. The whole Deck 5 is dedicated to 3 casinos, plus the main theatre. We learned later that is why from the first port (Phuket) to the second port (Krabi) the ship took about 10 hr, even though it takes only 1 hr plus by speedboat, the whole idea is for the ship to go to international water so that the casino can begin business! Also, we learned that while there are different pricing for different types of rooms, but maximum benefit goes for those who gamble or willing to join as member to gamble.

Another problem is dining, there were three free-for-use restaurants: the Western Four Seasons, the Chinese Oceanic View, and the international buffet 'Mariner buffet' at Deck 9. The Mariner buffet, which provides the most varieties was the most popular. However, the dining experience there was messy and disorder. The staff just swiped your card to make sure you dont go to two restaurants for each meal, but did not care to do some 'crowd control', and so the whole place was overcrowded, full of people, and people and squeezing one another, and also very difficult to find a table to dine, it was a real disgrace to treat passengers this way! We were treated a bit like refugees there!
