We sailed on the Fantasy in July 2013, myself and husband and 18yr old daughter and 21 yr old son. The ship is definately showing her age in size and amenities, but is well cared for. The ship is kept neat and cleaned and evidence of on-going maintenance was apparent. This cruise is definately crowded due to the overall size of the ship. There were many families with babies and toddlers aboard. The pool and hot tubs were way too small to accomodate guests and were always standing room only. There are not enough outdoor seating/tables or lounge chairs.

The service and quality of food is poor at best on this ship. We have cruised several times and this was the worst! The wait staff never learned our names and called us something different each night. Many nights the entrees were inedible, being undercooked and overcooked all in the same serving. Many of the entrees arrived at the table still frozen in the center, this was also common with the desserts. My son was served mussels that had not opened during cooking, so the wait staff smashed them open for him!! We rarely were served drinks prior to dessert and quickly learned to bring our own drinks with us to dinner. We watched our head waiter remove a used spoon from our table and take it to another guest at a different table to use, instead of getting them a clean one!!

The variety of the food was poor, the buffets on the lido deck never changed. Lines at the buffets for breakfast and lunch were always long and seating was at a premium.
