What a difference a little sun makes. After reading the reviews about the fiords and Iceland I wasn't sure about how much fun this trip would be. Well the weather was perfect every day (5 minute sprinkle in Helsinki doesn't count).

As all the others have written about the Eclipse, it is a beautiful ship, well appointed and well managed. The crew could not have been more accommodating. The passengers were younger than the typical 14 day Caribbean Celebrity cruise. They were also predominantly British, as expected. Food was up to Celebrity standards. I thought the entertainment was terrific. There were some shows we skipped and the dance band sounded a little pedestrian, but this was more a matter of choice rather than quality.

What made the trip special were the cities visited: Bruges, a lovely Belgian town; Berlin, vibrant, new and exciting; Stockholm, a warm city of islands; Helsinki, austere and Northern; St. Petersburg, not to be missed (especially the stone faced immigration officials): Tallin, this unheard of city gave us a special day in its Old town, and finally Copenhagen, a nice solid Danish City with a great amusement park.

A cruise to put on your bucket list.
