We left from Barcelona, after 2 days on the beach in Casteldefels (very relaxing and close to the airport). At around 12:00 we arrived near the ship. Luggage drop off was very easy. Someone with a sign picked us up from the queue and escorted us to the last check-in counter (number 34). We got our ship cards and were escorted to the room. Beautiful! The two-bedroom family room is great. Space for all; two bathrooms, three televisions and two DVD players. The balcony was larger than expected. You can put 4 chairs on it easily. Bathroom with shower overlooking the sea is marvelous.

As we were early we went for lunch in the haven restaurant. Nice menu, but the same every day. Restaurant, food and service were excellent all days. We went down to see the buffet and decided to stay at our floor every day, as many others in the Haven. There are special dishes in the evening, but apart from the lobster stake, the menu was better. Most wines were Californian. Restaurant hours are early compared to the Mediterranean life-style. Lunch is finished at 14:00 when in port they are just opening.

The courtyard pool area is great. Enough seats for everyone. Two whirlpools and a small pool at the same temperature. There are 2 hammams and a sauna, a good exercise room and a lounge. Most were not used all day. The 18th floor sun-deck is now not anymore for the courtyard, but available for all. The posh-club is also empty. It seemed 1400 children were on board, so the empty space is great.
