As first time cruisers we have little to compare our experiences aboard the Indy to, but the cruise was, in our opinion, one of the best family holidays that we have ever had.

We booked the transfer package from the Hilton Southampton which really set our holiday off with a bang. We spent a night in one of their deluxe rooms and they organised transfers to the port. They were very efficient and certainly allowed us to make a good start to our holiday.

The next day we transferred to the ship at Southampton (or maybe more suitably "on top of Southampton" - you can see the ship above all of the buildings!). When we arrived we went into the terminal to find some rather long queues - but I'm happy to say that we managed to get through them very quickly! The staff at the port were not the friendliest of people - ranging from the bored to the rather rude. Being first time cruisers we were not at all familiar with the process and being hollered at for stepping an inch into the wrong line is not the way that we would have expected to be treated.
