Whilst this is 3rd time on celebration and also been on the spirit, we came back due to previous good experiences and to visit cities we have not been to before. Also we heard the ship had a makeover to platinum status so we were looking forward to the difference. In the past we always said that it would be nice to relax afterwards so took a cruise and stay option (2nd week at the D resort Grand Azur see trip-advisor).

Flight was ok - bit compact and a real shame no longer have a movie to pass the time but took iPad with films and games instead. Embarktation was its usual high standard - very simple process. Arrived on ship on time and one of the first. Always helps to know way around so we headed straight for lido food and horizons for drinks.

Cabin 520 was very good and spacious and had a double bed. It is on deck 3 and near the rear so easy to get about the main areas. Its been upgraded with new shower room and kettle (takes ages to boil though). And flat screen More tv although little channels but 2 movies a day to watch if you are in cabin. Very good room service too. Shame we did not get more animals as we would have tipped more.

We hardly noticed any difference to the rest of the ship apart from a bit of renewing upholstery which is a shame as we expected a lot more.

Food areas. Lido very good variety of food but we miss the theme nights and gets a bit samey after a while. Meridan is same food as Lido but waiter service but they still insist that you sit with strangers. You can ask for 2 and may have to wait - Would be better if they put more tables for couples.

Drink Areas - Generally good - Go for all inclusive if you do drink as you will see a saving. We feel the personal service and speed of service has declined though.

Cinema on board very good change to watch an afternoon matinee. Bingo every night with game shows and musicals and comedian in main showroom also all very good.

All in all good value but probably our last trip on celebration as we now need a change. Maybe Dream? Less

Cabin review: 520

Cabin 520 - All you need at good value. Go higher if you want bigger windows though.
